The Catalina 42’s two-stateroom, two-head layout is one of the reasons the model has remained so popular with coastal cruisers and liveaboards. The interior is finished in warm teak with excellent natural light and ventilation provided by numerous opening ports and overhead hatches.
The forward owner’s stateroom features a centerline double berth, hanging lockers, drawers, and private access to the forward head with a separate enclosed shower stall.
The main salon offers a large U-shaped dinette to port with a straight settee opposite, providing comfortable seating for family and guests. A dedicated navigation station is located aft to starboard with additional storage nearby.
Aft, the private guest stateroom includes a generous double berth, hanging locker, and convenient access to the second enclosed head.
Storage is abundant throughout the cabin with lockers, drawers, and compartments well suited for extended cruising.
